And Another Socialized Medicine Evangelist Gets Caught Using Private Healthcare April 19, 2012

This all too familiar theme comes to us from across the pond.

Socialized medicine for thee, but not for me.

Ken Livingstone, the Labour candidate for London mayor who opposes privatization ("privatisation" if you're British) of his country's national healthcare system, has been using private healthcare.

Ha!

The Daily Telegraph reports: "It is not known how much Mr Livingstone's annual appointments, which he pays for himself, cost. Private check-ups can cost anything from several hundred to several thousand pounds."

But apparently the cost was worth it, because socialized healthcare sucks so much.

While opposing privatization of national healthcare, Mr. Livingstone ("Mr Livingstone" if you're British) once said: "The people of our capital city deserve top quality care and demand our health care should not be broken up, sold off or be privatised by the back door."

Well apparently the quality isn't that good, because he doesn't want to take advantage of it himself.

Hey, do we have this type of hypocrisy happening in our country?

Oh, yeah. We do.
