Scarborough 'Flabbergasted' At Obama's Supreme Court Comments
The Morning Joe crew took Obama to task for his pre-emptive strike against the Supreme Court's almost certain invalidation of ObamaCare.
Mika read from an excellent Wall Street Journal editorial today, appropriately entitled "Obama v. Marbury v. Madison". The article questioned how Obama, a former Constitutional law professor, could seemingly know nothing about the signature Supreme Court decision.
Scarborough agreed, claiming that one didn't need to be the President of Harvard Law Review or teach Constitutional law at the University of Chicago to understand the fundamental concept of separation of powers. "Just don't fall asleep in the middle of Mrs. Smith's 10th grade Civics class," Scarborough continued.
Mika tried to run interference for Obama with a fairly predictable "Republicans do it too" line. Scarborough buried that one quite handily.
Willie Geist then made a good point by saying that it was most striking to him that Obama was use the term "unelected" in a disparaging way. The whole point of the Supreme Court is that they are unelected.
